# New in Lexora Prep: Turn Your Own Black Letter Law Rules Into Flashcards
Students often already have the material they want to memorize: rules from class, an outline, a professor's formulation, or a personal bar-prep rule sheet. The time-consuming part is converting that material into something usable for active recall. Lexora Prep's custom flashcard workflow is designed to remove that formatting step.
Add rules manually or import them in bulk
You can type your own rule into My Rules or prepare the supported Excel template and upload multiple Black Letter Law rules at once. This is useful when you want to preserve the wording from your own course or study materials.
Create printable cards
Selected rules can be organized in Card Studio and exported as a printable PDF. Use this when you prefer physical review or want a compact deck for one subject.
Save cards to your phone
You can also export individual rule cards as images and download a ZIP file. That makes it possible to keep a small set of high-priority rules in your phone files for quick review.
The important use case is simple: keep control of your own rule wording, convert it into a repeatable review format, and spend study time recalling the law rather than formatting study materials.
