# The November 2026 MPRE Deadline Is September 17: Put It on Your Calendar Now

If you plan to take the November 2026 MPRE, the current NCBE registration deadline is September 17, 2026, and the exam will be administered November 12 or 13. The MPRE is easy to postpone because it sits outside the normal law-school exam calendar, but missing the registration date can delay a licensure requirement.

Confirm your jurisdiction's requirement

NCBE states that the MPRE is required for admission in all but Wisconsin and Puerto Rico, with Connecticut and New Jersey accepting a qualifying professional-responsibility course in lieu of a passing MPRE score. Jurisdictions set their own passing scores and timing rules.

Do not confuse class performance with MPRE preparation

Professional Responsibility and the MPRE overlap, but the exam has its own question style and timing. Use the NCBE outline and official information to understand what is tested.

Finish the administrative step early

Registration, accommodations, scheduling with Pearson VUE, and score reporting are separate from studying. Put the deadline into your calendar and keep the confirmation with your other bar-admission documents.

For 2Ls and 3Ls, the MPRE is one of the easiest licensure tasks to manage proactively. A calendar reminder today can prevent an unnecessary delay later.
